    Thank you for this podcast. I’ve been losing weight over the last 8 or so months, just changing what I eat. Reducing sugar, no more soda, cutting down on “bad” foods, increasing water, etc. So far 45 pounds gone. But you explained perfectly why it worked. I’m still going to drink water to help me with weightloss – keeps me full so I don’t eat so many calories. Love your page. Glad I found it.

    my question is about 6 pack abs im taking in 800-1200 calories a day everyday and i walk for 1 hour and i do some crunches about 60 a day u say that all u have to do is watch the total number of calories u eat and that is all that matters but can ur metabolism stop if you dont eat enough? and i was wondering if no how long do you think it would take me to lose enough weight to get abs im 5″7 and 3/4ths and weigh right at 190 lbs… also how much weight can i expect to lose in 3 months? thanks

    im confused, in the beginning you said stuff about 50 extra calories and then you gain weight. How do you figure out what your “budget” calorie intake is? And then also, you said to burn 500 calories a day to lose a lb a week. burn 500 calories from what “budget”?

    I’m confused about my body fat percentage, I used an online body fat calculator and it said I had a body fat percentage of 18% i’m not sure if this is very accurate. I’m a 19 year old male, 6ft,170-175lbs and a waist of 34inches, do you think 18% BF is accurate for someone who has a 34inch waist? I would have imagined 15-16% to be my BF. No haters please, honest opinions. Thanks.

    @al14di i hope you dont stretch before you workout or before any other exercise, first warm up your muscles, do the exercises and then stretch in the end, its when your body is warm. if you stretch up cold, you might get injured on your muscle tissues. for many people who dont know, muscle fibers are easier to extend at higher temperatures, such as any other materials, if you try to extend something thats its cold, it will brake. you get the idea but its just an advice, hope it helps ;)

    @BodyPerformanceTV steve what should you do to lose weight but don’t want to buy a scale and having to look at it canstantly like being married to it, also I can count my calories for breakbeast and lunch but not lunch because my mom won’t let me eat process foods where i can see how many calories it is without having to buy a food scale and be too crazy and attached to that my mom cooks and i think its always around 600 to 800 but don’t know but what would you suggest i should do im 17 6 foot 2

    I heard that regular cardio sessions promote muscle loss and encourage fat storage and that it is better to combine short but regular High Intensity Interval training with resistant training and good nutritional habits

    @al14di No. I just do the exercise I plan to start out with easier. Same thing with cardio. I start with a walk then move into a jog.

    Hey Steve I really enjoy your videos. I sent you a letter a few months ago. My name is Vishal Sharma and I have lost over 150 lbs, I have went through surgury to get rid of the loose skin and had even more skin removed through lazer. I still do not have abs. Will it ever be possible for me to have abs.

    @elite2291 What is important is the calorie deficit and reducing your body fat. This can be done without cardio. However, with cardio you would get quicker results. I think Steve would agree with me.
